Dr. Hitchcock graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1973. He started Lavonia Animal Hospital on August 12, 1974, and our hospital has been in continous operation for more than 52 years!

Dr. Macomson first began working at Lavonia Animal Hospital in 1986, when he was about 12 years old. He graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1973.

Ms. Watson began working at Lavonia Animal Hospital as a veterinary assistant in 1992. Her bubbly personality is legendary among our clientele!

Mrs. Ferguson came to Lavonia Animal Hospital in the early 2000s. She helps keep the office going behind the scenes.

Mrs. Veal first began working at Lavonia Animal Hospital as a teenager and has many years of experience as an assistant and receptionist. At home she surrounds herself with animals large and small!

Ms. Allegood is an experienced veterinary assistant who also helps keep the office running smoothly. She loves to help rehabilitate wild animals.

Ms. Allen recently joined the animal hospital team and helps assist with animals and keep the kennels running smoothly.

Ms. Roach is a 2026 graduate of Franklin County High School and is headed to ABAC in the fall of 2026 to continue her studies in the field of veterinary medicine.
